'The Hailwood' is now available
The research took many thousands of man-hours over several years. It has been a labour of love for Brook Henry of Vee Two Australia, but the result is about as perfect a replica of Mike's Bike as you can create. The Vee Two bikes are hand-made and hand-finished like a Swiss watch. At its TT launch at the 40th anniversary Sat 25th August 2018, Steve Wynne of Sports Motorcycles commented that it was the best representation of Mikes bike as it crossed the line than the original bike is today.
It can also be said to be more correct than the actual Hailwood bike that John McGuiness rode in the 2018 TT parade, because that bike, though 'the original' was badly crash damaged and rebuilt several times in the years immediately after the 1978 race.
The Vee Two Hailwood now crowned “The Hailwood” is an officially endorsed and licensed product by the Hailwood family and the Hailwood trademark. It is an official licensed product and there will only ever be 12 of these motorcycles built. Each individual machine has its own dedicated and numbered copy of Paul Bardens “Chasing Down a Legend”. These books are individually numbered 1–12 and personally signed by Pauline and David Hailwood. Each book forms the heritage and authenticity of each bike.
